'Trash Output Analysis Presentation
Fall 2025 - Digital Design
This project is a week-long study of my personal trash output, where I tracked everything I threw away and translated that information into a visual identity system. Each item was categorized by material, usage, and method of disposal, allowing patterns to emerge through the design rather than just the data. As the system came together, it became clear how much of my waste came from convenience items like food packaging, paper towels, and other single-use products, compared to the relatively small amount of compostable waste. The presentation uses clear hierarchy and consistent visual language to turn everyday trash into something readable and reflective. Overall, this project uses design as a way to make routine habits more visible and to encourage greater awareness of how small choices contribute to waste.
